Brooke Anderson has been named co-anchor of ETC’s The Insider. Anderson , replacing established host Lara Spencer, will join co-anchor Kevin Frazier this May on ETC every Tuesday to Saturday at 10:30PM.

In making the announcement, Linda Bell Blue, Executive Producer of The Insider said, “I’m a huge fan of Brooke both professionally and personally. I’ve admired her work on HLN and am thrilled that she is joining our Insider family. Brooke is such a well rounded broadcaster – smart, inquisitive, experienced, and grounded. She’s everything you’d want in a co-anchor and the perfect fit to sit at The Insider desk with our Kevin Frazier.”

Aaron Meyerson, President of Programming & Development for CBS Television Distribution, the company that produces The Insider said: “Brooke is recognized by both the broadcasting and entertainment communities as the consummate professional. We are thrilled to bring her to The Insider and to pair her with the very talented Kevin Frazier. We are excited that this team will give viewers the latest entertainment news of the day with in depth reporting and an insider’s point of view. Welcome Brooke!”

Anderson is currently a CNN Entertainment Correspondent and co-host of HLN’s Showbiz Tonight. Based in CNN’s Los Angeles bureau, Anderson joined the network in July 2000.

In February 2003, she received the National Daily Point of Light Award for volunteerism from President George W. Bush.

Anderson graduated with honors from the University of Georgia ‘s Grady School of Journalism and Mass Communication with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism.

The Insider airs on ETC every Tuesday to Saturday at 10:30PM on ETC on RPN-9

AJ Perez who died at an early age of 18,  donates eyes to Eye Bank, his cornea was supposed to be intended for Fatima Soriano, the blind singer with the magical voice.

But sadly, she is not an ideal recipient since her cornea was really badly damaged that a transplant is next to impossible.

AJ Perez’s parents, Gerry and Marivic Perez,  said that AJ’s eyes will then be donated to whoever needs them at the moment.

Kapamilya talent AJ Perez is excited to lead an episode before he died on a car accident in “Maalaala Mo Kaya”, which will be aired this April 30.

AJ said on his project:

“Overwhelming and sobrang saya lang po talaga and thankful kay God for the opportunities He continuously gives me.”

The actor will also have a movie project this year with the lead stars of ‘Mara Clara‘! Now his first ever lead in television with Bugoy Drilon will have a killing at the ratings game when it is aired.

The newest Kapuso hunk actor Mikael Daez has joined the cast as one of the leading men alongside with Tom Rodriguez and Aljur Abrenica.

Mikael replaces Paulo Avelino who declined the role due to health reasons, as what was revealed by his manager Leo Dominguez.

“Because @mepauloavelino fell ill and is still recuperating, he had no choice but to give up his leading man role in ‘temptation island’.:(” Dominguez posted on Twitter.

Temptation Island stars Marian Rivera, Solenn Heusaff, Lovi Poe, and Heart Evangelista. Directed by Chris Martinez.
