A Bagets Halloween !

The Bagets gang gets a dramatic, comedic, horrific blast from the past in today’s special Halloween episode at 4:30 p.m. on TV5.

Last we saw them, the boys and girls together with Principal Subong (Joy Viado) were having a fun-hard time in an immersion trip to the province. When this week’s episode opens, they’re all set to head back to Manila when they realize that George (Nadine Lustre) has gone missing. So they head off in a search, which leads them to an old inn where they’re forced to stay the night.

It’s a night they won’t soon forget. They meet, among others, a girl who looks exactly like George but who is, mysteriously, not George. Thanks to the investigative skills of George’s ex, Jules (Josh Padilla), they all unravel the mystery and learn the several decades-old history of the inn and the story of its residents. But not before they experience all sorts of hair-raising phenomena, including a séance that transports them back to the 1920s.

Bagets stars AJ Muhlach, Aki Torio, Josh Padilla, Rico dela Paz, Nadine Lustre, Shy Carlos, Meg Imperial, Eula Caballero and Imee Hart.

Protégé's second elimination night Tonight!

The big twist is happening tonight on GMA 7’s Protégé as nine music acts continue with their battle for the big break.

For the first time, the protégés will get song assignments from other mentors. It‘s a challenge that may make or break their status in the competition. As the battle intensifies, protégés are caught in the web of intrigue that started growing at the beginning of this week of the second elimination night.

Samantha, Joey G’s protégé, blurted no-holds-barred comments about Denise, Gloc 9′s protégé. The Urban Pop Gurl from Pangasinan said that Denise should have been the one who got eliminated because she is the weakest among all contestants. It started a furious exchange of words among the singers. Rey Valera’s protégé, Janina, Jay-R’s protégé, Kenneth and Claire’s protégé, Jensen got tangled up in this word war.

Meanwhile, the Bibong Showstopper from Cebu, Nomer pleaded to have his song changed because he is not familiar with what Mentor Janno assigned to him. In the end, Nomer opted to sing the same song under the guidance of Mentor Rachelle. Also, one of Lovely‘s birthday wishes came true: To see her father. On her 13th birthday celebration, she was surprised with her father’s appearance. Seeing him face to face for the very first time was one unparalleled happy moment for the Singing Cinderella from Davao.

Aiza’s protégé, R&B Sistah Krizza, was touched by the reunion of a father and a daughter that she witnessed. Like Lovely, Krizza is also hoping that one day she will spend good times with her dad.

Another mentor-protégé tandem will be booted out of the competition based on the combined votes of the audience and judges scores.

The live gala airs after Kap’s Amazing Stories and the results show happens after Sanib-Pwersa.

Claudine Barretto and Raymart Santiago said that they are still together after all!

After Claudine Barretto was spotted mysteriously ny a GMA 7 news crew crying buckets inside a bank in Quezon City claiming she is missing a P5 million in her joint account with husband Raymart Santiago, they now claim that they are still together.

Who tipped off the news crew that Claudine was in the bank, that something big just happened. I wonder who? (See related article HERE!)

Here’s the couple’s official joint statement in full:

In recent days, there have been numerous negative rumors about our marriage and our relationship, all of which have caused us, our children, and our families undue stress, strain and unnecessary tension.

In order to dispel all these unfounded innuendos, we now publicly declare, in the simplest and clearest terms that: WE ARE STILL TOGETHER, we have not separated, we love each other, and we both value and cherish our marriage and relationship. Any issues that we may have are private, and do not detract from, nor diminish the strength of our marriage. We ask that the public allow us to deal with our minor concerns without the glare and glee of media speculation that only hurt us and those we love.

We are both deeply committed to our two (2) children whom we love unconditionally. As concerned and devoted parents, we shall zealously protect their privacy, and their right to be untouched by malice and gossip. We plead with the public to respect their rights: they are innocent children unjustly harmed by the baseless gossip about us.

We hope that this JOINT STATEMENT settles and lays to rest all questions about us as a couple, and as individuals.

Protege contestants get song assignments from other mentors!

“The big twist is happening this Sunday, October 30, on the most talked about widest and biggest reality singing search in the country as the remaining nine music acts continue with their battle for the big break on Protégé.

‘For the first time on the show, the protégés will get song assignments from other mentors, a challenge that may make or break their status in the competition. And as the battle on stage intensifies, protégés are caught in the web of intrigue that started growing at the beginning of this week of the 2nd elimination night.

“Samantha, Joey G’s protégé blurted no-holds-barred comments about Denise, Gloc 9′s protégé. The “Urban Pop Gurl” from Pangasinan said that Denise should have been the one who got eliminated because she is the weakest among all contestants. This started a furious exchange of words among the singers. Rey Valera’s protégé, Janina, Jay-R’s protégé, Kenneth and Claire’s protégé, Jensen got tangled up in this word war.

“How will this dispute affect their performances on Sunday? Can Denise rise above the challenge of proving that she deserves to be in the competition?

“Meanwhile, the “Bibong Showstopper” from Cebu, Nomer pleaded to have his song changed because he is not familiar with what Mentor Janno assigned to him. But in the end, Nomer opted to sing the same song under the guidance of Mentor Rachelle. Also this week, one of Lovely’s birthday wishes came true: to see her father. On her 13th birthday celebration, she was surprised with her father’s appearance. Seeing him face to face for the very first time was one unparalleled happy moment for the Singing Cinderella from Davao.

“Aiza’s protégé, RnB Sistah Krizza, was touched by the reunion of a father and a daughter that she witnessed. Like Lovely, Krizza is also hoping that one day she would spend good times with her dad. She got emotional during rehearsals when Mentor Aiza asked her to feel the regrets that she has so she can give justice to the song. Will all this help soup-up her performance on Sunday?

“Another mentor -protégé tandem will be booted out of the competition based on the combined votes of the audience and judges scores. Witness as the 2nd elimination round unfolds this Sunday night on the Live Gala and Results Show of Protégé: The Battle for the Big Break!

‘Budoy’ conquers National, Mega Manila and Metro Manila TV Ratings!

ABS-CBN’s biggest family drama series with Gerald Anderson as “Budoy” instantly made a strong impact among audience as it debuted on second place on Kantar Media’s list of most watched programs from October 17-19.

Budoy”s average individual rating of 17.3% nationwide beat GMA’s highest rating and highly touted primetime show “Amaya” which only registered 11.1%. The series topbilled by drama prince Gerald Anderson also bested its competition in Metro Manila (15.1% vs 11.6%) and Mega Manila (13.9% vs 13.2%).

“At first, we were worried about the viewers’ response to our show since this is the first time that a drama series actually deals with mild mental retardation. That’s why we were so happy to know that we placed second this early in the ratings,” said Jessy Mendiola, Gerald’s love interest in “Budoy.”

She further shared that aside from its fast paced story and interesting set of characters, Gerald’s charm as ‘Budoy’ could have largely contributed to the show’s success. ”I think viewers are hooked with the program because of Gerald’s unique charm in playing his character.”

Kapamilya viewers will surely get charmed even more with the character of Budoy as the story progresses with more breathtaking revelations from its powerhouse cast composed of promising young stars Gerald, Jessy, and Enrique Gil; legendary luminaries of Philippine movie industry including Dante Rivero, Gloria Sevilla and Barbara Perez; and seasoned actors namely Tirso Cruz III, Zsa-Zsa Padilla, Mylene Dizon, Christian Vazquez, and Janice de Belen who makes a comeback in the Kapamilya network.

Under the direction of Ruel S. Bayani and Tots Sanchez-Mariscal, “Budoy” airs weeknights, after “100 Days to Heaven” on ABS-CBN Primetime Bida. For more updates, log on to www.budoy.tv, follow @budoy_tv on Twitter, and “like” http://www.facebook.com/budoy.tv.
