Kapatid television host-actress Ruffa Gutierrez is now officially single again.
Ruffa and husband Turkish businessmanYlmaz Bektas were married in 2003, have been separated since 2007 and their marriage is now officially annulled by Philippine court. The custody of their two daughters Lorin Gabriella and Venezia Loran, was awarded to her. She was in Boracay with her two daughters when the decision was handed down.
Here is Ruffa’s legal counsel Howard Calleja and Connie Aquino of the Calleja Law Office statement:
“The petition for the declaration of the nullity of marriage which we filed on behalf of our client, Ms. Ruffa Gutierrez, against her husband, Yilmaz Bektas, has finally been granted by the Regional Trial Court of Taguig City, declaring the same to be null and void under Article 36 of the Family Code last January 17, 2011.”
In an earlier interview, Ruffa said she wants to prioritize her family and work over romantic relationships. And revealed that she is currently loveless.
