In a recent interview with Sarah Geronimo for her up-coming concert 24/SG at Smart Araneta Center on July 8, she was asked about ‘Babe“!
As we all know ‘Babe’ is Gerald Anderson who is rumored to be her boyfriend.
Below are some excerpts from the interview:
Kamusta na sila ni ‘Babe’:
“Siguro po, masasabi ko na ano, basta espesyal po sa akin ‘yung tao (Gerald). Hindi po kami (ni Gerald). Totoo po ‘yan. At ayoko po talagang madaliin. Kasi, may mga takot din po ako at sabi niya, may mga takot din siya. So, hindi po natin minamadali itong bagay na ito. Kasi, ayaw din po naming magkasakitan kami. At saka ‘yung friendship po namin, napakaimportante po nu’n sa akin, eh.”
“Kumbaga, mawala nang lahat, huwag lang ‘yung friendship. Kasi, ‘yun talaga ‘yung nagla-last. So, gusto ko po na talagang mas makilala pa namin ang isa’t isa. Mahalin po hindi ‘yung good looks niya, kundi ‘yung ganda ng ugali niya, ‘yung puso niya.”
Kasi, ang guwapo niya, ‘di ba? Ha! Ha! Ha! So, ayokong tumingin sa pisikal po. And it takes time para malaman namin talaga kung ano ‘yung feelings namin sa isa’t isa.”
What makes Gerald stand out from other guys:
“Ito pong mga nangyayari sa akin ngayon, ‘yung pagdating ni Gerald sa buhay ko, kumbaga, siya pa lang ‘yung lalaking gumagawa ng mga ibang bagay na ‘yon para sa akin.
“Like ‘yung pumunta sa bahay, hinarap talaga ang mga magulang ko. At sobra ko pong naa-appreciate ‘yon.”
Is he exclusively courting her:
“Wala namang ibang suitors, eh! Ha! Ha! Ha!”
“Wala naman akong ibang e-entertain-in. At saka ayoko po ng gano’n, na iba-iba. Ayoko nu’ng nagpapaasa, parang gano’n.”
Are you in love with Gerald?:
“Hi! Hi! Hi! Nahiya naman po ako…
“May feelings po ako sa kanya. Espesyal po siya para sa akin. Pero nakakahiya lang po on my part.
Kasi, babae po ako, hindi ko naman po masasabi sa inyo lahat ng nararamdaman ko.”

I love Sarah and Gerald. I have never been a fan of any love team or tandem. Only just recently after watching their movie and reading news and updates about them. I really really hope and pray that they will both find true love in each other’s heart. Good bless you Sarah and Gerald!
I only hope for Sarah’s sake na the feeling is mutual, it hurts kung siya lang ang nagmamahal, sana may gusto tlaga sa kanya si Gerald, pero kung mabibigo sya ulit, huwag syang magalala, she should wait, mabuti na nga ang single pa rin sya, kasi bata pa naman sya, at kung magkakaroon sya ang relationship, hindi pa rin naman yon ang pang walang hanggan, so take yor time baby girl, the right man will come.

True love can wait. Just take your time and asked the Lord for guidance if you’re really meant for each other, the Lord will find a way. No one can stop you if it’s already God’s will and at the right time. Put the Lord in the center of your friendship. Just continue for each one of you to reach out to your family and to others in need. The Lord will reward you and that special someone for all your good deeds. The Lord showered you with unique qualities for you’re a down to earth, obedient and dedicated to your career. Sarah always pray and treasure simple memories that inspired you along the way. We only have one life to live. Life is a journey not a destination and it’s full of challenges. You are one in a million. Lastly, you are still young. Your head is higher than your heart but use all the 5 senses as well.
For now you both focus on each others career. I have to be candid about the whole thing. I admired your down to earth parents, your humble beginnings, your great and exuberant God given talent in dancing, at the same time singing. It’s flawless. Your simplicity and your special friend’s good heart and his respect for you and your family is something. But take your time to analyze your search for a life partner. Absolutely, you are right , be calm and focus on your career and always entrust your feelings towards your special friend and be guided with this statement from the bible to “Seek first the kingdom of God and everything will be added unto you.” If a person really wants to win your heart he will sacrifice to wait for the right time. Meaning you are worth the wait and communication is the key to be successful in any relationship.
Lastly, thank you for the good talent, decency,simplicity and gentleness in handling your career and choice of a special friendship you’ve shared to your fans. You are a major inspiration to ease the stressful and complicated world. Keep up the good work! Be by yourself in your unique qualities in handling your career. But just like a plant, water the special friendship with constant communication for eventually it will thrive through the test of time. You will learn from your mistakes and experiences. It will make you strong as a person. I will look forward that sooner or later you will be given space in your decision making and the parents role is just “guidance and advice.” It’s hard and painful for a mother to see an obedient daughter sobbed on her shoulder for her happiness as well as her inspiration was suppressed.
