Ara Mina is keen on pursuing the charges of libel and grave coercion case against her sister Cristine Reyes! As Cristine did not attend the preliminary hearing of the case since she already submitted a counter affidavit. (See related article HERE and HERE!)
Ara Mina is even refusing to accept any showbiz assignments to shoot down any notion that she is just using the case to further her career and use it as a publicity stunt.
This is what Ara said:
“Maraming naglalabasan na tatakbo ako, for publicity. To be honest hindi ako tumanggap ng mga trabaho para mapatunayan na seryoso ‘to.”
“Hindi ‘to pagpapaingay lang ng pangalan because accepted ko kung nasa’n ako and I’m happy. Kontento ako sa buhay ako, masaya ako.”
Ara even said further:
“Actually I’m thinking nga baka mag-quit na ako because of this eh, dahil kung ‘yun ang gusto nilang palabasin — na gusto kong umingay ‘yung pangalan ko — medyo matagal kong pinag-iisipan.”
And she clarified that the only thing that would make her withdraw the case is public apology from Cristine:
“Hindi lang naman kasi ako dito, eh. Ang dami pa niyang dinamay na ibang tao. Hindi ko lang ma-mention sila dahil pribado silang tao.
“Pero siguro, humingi rin siya ng sorry du’n, kaya dapat ang public apology.”
Ara filed a case against her sister last April.
