King of Comedy Dolphy was once again rushed to the hospital last Saturday due to pneumonia!
Dolphy will be 83 years-old on July 25. His health is now stable and visitors are only allowed by appointment since he is confined at the ICU of the Makati Medical Center.
His son Eric Quizon issued the following statement:
“My Dad was sent to the hospital last Saturday because of pneumonia. This made him weak because of his COPD. They had to attach a respirator in order to help him breathe. Currently, his vitals are all in order and he is responding to treatment very well. However, he is still under close observation and round the clock intensive care to make sure he recovers well. On behalf of our family, thank you for your love and prayers,” text ni Eric Quizon last Thursday night.

I worked with Dolphy in a few movies in the late eighties. He is one of the great comedians who will never be replaced. God Bless.
