An insider from Star Cinema has just confirmed last Tuesday that Darna The Movie is in the works and the coveted role goes to Angel Locsin!
But this news is yet to be confirmed by Star Cinema, since ABS-CBN acquired the exclusive rights to make a TV and movie adaptation of 13 Mars Ravelo titles including Darna.
Other Kapamilya stars are rumored for the coveted role are Sarah Geronimo, Cristine Reyes, KC Concepcion, Kim Chiu and Bea Alonzo.
Here is my thought on this one, will Angel Locsin fit in the old Darna outfit since the last time she portrayed the role for TV was seven years ago and few pounds lighter?
Or will they wait for her to shed some pounds before the movie will start grinding?
