Jillian will play the role of Luna while Mona portrays the character of Blanca. The twin sisters are born with completely different features; Luna is of dark completion while Blanca is fair-skinned. Making Luna even more unusual is her mystical twin shadow.

Under the direction of Dominic Zapata, the spellbinding saga of “Luna Blanca” begins May 21 on GMA Telebabad.

Karen Exposes Plight of Lumad Tribes in Mindanao!

The decades-old armed conflict between the government and the rebellious group New People’s Army (NPA) has caught innocent indigenous peoples like the Lumad group in the crossfire of the war.

This Thursday (May 17) in “Krusada,” Karen will check on the Lumad communities in Ba-Oy Dam, Surigao del Sur in Mindanao that have lived through years of terror, fearing for their lives and trying to escape the dangers of warfare.

“The innocent are almost always the victims of any war, not the opposing parties,” said Karen.

Because of this, the Lumads are often forced to leave their homes and livelihood, while children stop schooling. How long will they keep on evacuating?

Because it takes more than words to take a stand, watch “Krusada,” the 2012 New York Festivals Bronze World Medalist in the Social Issues/Current Events category on Thursday (May 17) after “Bandila” on ABS-CBN, or watch it earlier on DZMM TeleRadyo (SkyCable Channel 26), 9:15 p.m.

‘The Born Expeditions: Tale of Two Whales’ finale on GMA-7′s Born to be Wild!

For almost two weeks, Doc Nielsen Donato and his team have been documenting whales and dolphins in Bohol’s seas for “The Born Expeditions: The Tale of Two Whales.”

They filmed the behavior of spinner dolphins, melon-headed whales, and bottlenose dolphins. Until Doc’s team spotted the biggest whale yet – a Bryde’s whale. Along with other marine mammals and the biggest fish in the world, the whale shark, Bryde’s whales were once hunted in Pamilacan. After what seemed like years of “absence” from Bohol’s seas, a Bryde’s whale sighting was finally reported by researchers in 2010. And as Born to be Wild’s footage shows, the Bryde’s whale is indeed back in Bohol.

But the question remains – where is the blue whale that the team documented a year ago? The blue whale is the largest creature to have ever existed on earth, and in the Philippines, it has only been formally documented a few times. Last year, Born to be Wild showed Philippine viewers what was then the most extensive footage of the blue whale in our own waters. This year, Doc Nielsen and the team wonder if the blue whale will surface again, for a more detailed observation.

Suddenly, they see a fluke or “tail” which appears to be the same size as their boat, if not bigger. A fluke this big can only mean one thing.

Don’t miss the awe-inspiring finale of The Born Expeditions’ “Tale of Two Whales” this Wednesday night on GMA-7′s Born to be Wild after Saksi.

Charice on her new image: “I don’t care whatever you think.”!

Charice is back in the country to be a judge in the up-coming reality show The X-Factor Philippines!

Charice will seat as the youngest judge, together with veteran singers Pilita Corrales, Gary Valenciano and Marin Nievera.

There are a lot of talks going on that Charice now dons a new braver, younger and hippie look, far from when she started with a mature and feminine.

Charice on her new look:

“I don’t care whatever you think. Tao ako—at least tao ako. As long as my fans love me and support me, I’m good with that.  However, kahit sino man ang mag-stay with me ’til the end of my career… those are the people that I trust. And the others that still have doubts, questions and everything, bahala na sila.”

On why the image change:

“Honestly, actually hindi talaga siya change image—what you see now is the real me and what you see before wasn’t me. A lot of people around me, like in the U.S. and here, they didn’t really know what I really wanted so they were deciding for me. I didn’t get the chance to do that on myself.”

On her new found independence:

“Now that I’m being so independent while it’s early… I really, really want to tell all the people that I don’t care if you hate it, I don’t care if you don’t like it. I’m happy now. I’m extremely happy—it’s unbelievable. I could cry, I could cry like, wow! I can’t believe I’m going out in public showing my tattoos, showing my hair, showing my outfit—I feel more free.”

What can you say of Charice’s new look

As a result, hash tags ‘Go Empress’ and ‘Nikki Gil’ quickly became a worldwide trending topic on Twitter after the audience shared their enjoyment over the said segment.
