Candice Glover is the new American Idol, another woman won after six long years that men dominates!
“Three years,” was all Candice could say, after picking up the microphone themed “Idol” trophy, referring to how long she had been trying to make it into the “AI” competition.
23-year-old singer from South Carolina is the last contestant standing on season 12 of American Idol.
American Idol will have a massive makeover for the next season, and the only person left standing is host Ryan Seacrest!
Fox decided to terminate American Idol executive producer Nigel Lythgoe and the other three judges Marian Carey, Keith Urban and Nicki Minaj.
And after 12 seasons, Randy Jackson is no longer in it to win it as he is officially out of American Idol.
“Yo! Yo! Yo! To put all of the speculation to the rest, after 12 years of judging on American Idol I have decided it is time to leave after this season. I am very proud of how we forever changed television and the music industry. It’s been a life changing opportunity but I am looking forward to focusing on my company Dream Merchant 21 and other business ventures”.
After Thursday’s Detroit-themed performance night, the three remaining guys on ‘Idol’ were put by America to the bottom 3.
Devin Velez, Burnell Taylor and Lazaro Arbos comprised the bottom 3 during the results show of American Idol on Friday (Manila time) with Velez receiving the lowest number of votes.
He sang Perry Como‘s “It’s Impossible” in both English and Spanish on his bid to be saved by the judges. Velez received standing ovation from Randy Jackson, Keith Urban and the teary-eyed Mariah Carey, however, the said judges did not use their “save” power on the Spanish-speaking contestant.

Worship leader Curtis Finch, Jr. was announced as the lowest vote-getter during the results show of American Idol prompting him to sing for the “judges’ save,” a power that can be used only once per season by the judging panel.
Curtis sang R Kelly‘s “I Believe I Can Fly” on his bid to stay in the competition but Keith Urban, Nicki Minaj, Randy Jackson and Mariah Carey were not unanimous with their vote causing elimination for the St. Louis native.
For the first time in the history of the show, the top three vote-getters were revealed (but not the order) and they are Angie Miller, Candice Glover and Kree Harrison.

Nicki Minaj is one of the new judges of American Idol and as the airing of this season is going near, she is scared of how fans would rate her.
The season has not started yet and Minaj is already met with controversy on the show.
On being in American Idol:
“I’m scared. Maybe I shouldn’t have been so like… It’s hard for me to not say how I really feel.Everyone else is so nice. I was just thinking back about some things and I was like, ‘I wonder if that was not so nice.’ I don’t think I’m going to be able to watch it. I’m going to be so nervous. But I know people are going to love it. I think it’s a great dynamic.’ “
On being a judge:
“As an artist I’ve always grown more from the tougher criticism and so I would like to be that person and to try to help people get that thick skin and to really give it their all, because it is a competition.”

American Idol has announced its four-person judging panel for Season 12.
Randy Jackson returns as a judge together with Mariah Carey, and the newly confirmed to join the judges seat are Nicki Minaj and Kieth Urban.
This is what Mike Darnell, President of Alternative Entertainment for Fox said:

There is a big possibility that long time judge Randy Jackson may not come back this season and rumors have it that the possible replacement in consideration are Kieth Urban and Enrique Iglesias.
