Sophie Albert and Vin Abrenica is Artista Academy Winners!

Sophie Albert and Vin Abrenica emerged as Best Actress and Best Actor of Artista Academy respectively, during the Awards Night held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Saturday, October 27, 2012.

Sophie Albert, dubbed as the “Artistic Chick of Mandaluyong,” and the “Singing Hunk of Pampanga” Vin Abrenica, emerged as the first Best Actress and first Best Actor award of Artista Academy.

Vin and Sophie each bagged a total of P10 million worth of prize package which includes a trophy especially crafted by Leeroy New, a condominium unit at Lakefront in Parañaque City, 1 million pesos cash, a Toyota Innova and an exclusive TV5 contract with a minimum guarantee of P5 million.

 

Hosted by Cesar Montano, the Artista Academy Awards Night showcased all six Honor Students’ talent in singing, dancing and also in acting via a short film directed by Eric Quizon (for the 3 girls) and Bb. Joyce Bernal (for the 3 guys).

Both winners will also become new Close Up ambassadors and lead stars of an upcoming teleserye on TV5.

Meanwhile, the non-winning honor students Akihiro Blanco, Chanel Morales, Shaira Mae andMark Neumann, together with Tropang Kick-Out members Benjo Leoncio, Brent Manzano, Chris Leonardo, Jon Orlando, Malak So Shdifat, Marvelous Alejo, Nicole Estrada and Stephanie Rowe, will all become exclusive TV5 talents. All of them will star in an upcoming youth-oriented series on the Kapatid Network titled “Forever Barkada.”

Artista Academy awards night set tomorrow at the Big Dome!

The awards night of TV5’s grandest artista search happens tomorrow, Oct. 27, 8:30 p.m. as Artista Academy (AA) returns to the SMART Araneta Coliseum where it first opened its doors to over 12,000 hopefuls for its massive one-day audition last June.

It will be the ultimate showdown of talent, looks and charm as six grand finalists — Honor Students Akihiro Blanco, Chanel Morales, Mark Neumann, Shaira Mae, Sophie Albert and Vin Abrenica — put to use everything they have learned from their months of training at the Asian Academy of Television Arts (AATA) to show how deserving they are of the Best Actor and Best Actress titles.

Artista Academy grand winners will bag a total of P20M in cash and prizes plus guaranteed lead roles in an upcoming TV5 teleserye.

The grand night will showcase all six Honor Students’ talents in singing, dancing and acting. Their individual short films will also be shown along with the comments of the directors who have worked with them. Eric Quizon directed the three short films of the girls while Joyce Bernal helmed the boys’ drama flicks.

The other Artista Academy students (Tropang Kick-Out members Benjo Leoncio, Brent Manzano, Chris Leonardo, Jon Orlando, Malak So Shdifat, Marvelous Alejo, Nicole Estrada and Stephanie Rowe) will also be sharing the stage once again for a special production number.

TV5‘s talent reality search “Artista Academy” announces final six who will vie for the coveted P20 million worth of prizes.
 

Shaira Mae and Mark Neumann enter the Honors’ List of FInal 6 and join the Top 4 students - Akihiro Blanco, Vin Abrenica, Chanel Morales and Sophie Albert, for the excelled from the combined votes of the judges and of the text votes of the fans for the entire past week. Shaira Mae and Mark emerged from the other competing students in the Danger 4 namely Benjo Leoncio, Malak So Shidfat, and  Tropang Kick-Outs namely Chris Leonardo, Jon Orlando, Brent Manzano, Marvelous Alejo, Nicole Estrada, Stephanie Rowe on this face-off which happened live at theBroadway Centrum.

The Honors’ List of Final 6 finalists will still be fighting for the glamorous artista life and an astounding 20 million pesos worth of prizes await the ultimate Best Actor and Best Actress, that “Artista Academy” offers.

Artista Academy” will introduce its Top 16 students also on Saturday night. After a series of meticulous screenings, these 16 hopefuls left will out-perform one another in their quest to be the next big Kapatid stars. The Top 16 students will be granted full scholarships to the Asian Academy of Television Arts (AATA) to train under the best industry professionals.

“Artista Academy”’s Best Actor and Best Actress will not only win PhP20 million in total prizes but they will also star in an upcoming TV5 teleserye — making them the richest among all talent search winners in the country.

‘Artista Academy’ Begins Battle for P20M this July 30!

Philippine television’s grandest and most intensive search for the next big stars begins this July 30 as TV5 premieres Artista Academy, the only reality-based talent competition offering real artista training in a legitimate school of television arts.

Sixteen candidates aged 16-22 will battle it out for P20 M worth of total prizes and the prestige of being hailed as Artista Academy’s Best Actor and Best Actress.

Hosted by seasoned actors Cesar Montano and Marvin Agustin, Artista Academy will share with viewers the real journey of 16 showbiz aspirants. They will undergo extensive curriculum-based training at the Asian Academy of Television Arts (AATA) to become certified professional actors equipped with the acting versatility and right attitude to make names for themselves in showbiz.

The highly successful one-time grand auditions last June 19 saw a crowd of over 13,000 packing the SMART Araneta Coliseum. Artista Academy had to conduct rigorous screening in choosing the 16 finalists who have what it takes to become TV5’s biggest new stars.

All 16 finalists who will be chosen as Artista Academy students will be granted full scholarship to the AATA and will undergo comprehensive training with the best minds in the industry. These include multi-awarded directorJoel Lamangan, music master Louie Ocampo and dance guru Georcelle Dapat of G Force. They are also joined by other esteemed TV professionals and distinguished celebrities.

Artista Academy is directed by acclaimed film and TV director Mac Alejandre, who also heads the TV5 Talent Center. He will be working with well-known entertainment executive and AATA head Wilma Galvante.

Aside from the P20 Million-worth of total prizes to be won by the Artista Academy Best Actor and Best Actress, TV5 will also grant them lead roles in a forthcoming teleserye. Not only will they be armed with the right acting training from AATA to become the industry’s future stars, they will also be the richest of all winners in the Philippine talent search history.

“No other program has offered such school-based learning and development from a real academy of television arts. It will truly be a life-changing experience for not just one but two students. This is real fame, fortune, and stardom. This is as real as it can get,” said TV5 Creative and Entertainment Production Head Perci Intalan.

Hosts Cesar Montano and Marvin Agustin will be sharing the journey of the 16 Artista Academy students. As Live Exam Presenter, Cesar will be seen every Saturday as he hosts the show’s live performance night. Marvin will be the reality host who imparts the real drama behind each finalist every weeknight. Sitting in as Live Exam critics every Saturday night are Grand Slam Actress Lorna Tolentino and renowned actress-host Gelli De Belen.

Thousands of ‘Artista Academy’ Hopefuls Flock the SMART Araneta Coliseum!

The Kapatid Network held a successful one-day grand auditions for its much-awaited reality-based star search “Artista Academy” on Tuesday, June 19, at the SMART Araneta Coliseum.

TV5′s “Artista Academy” is offering the biggest cash prize on Philippine television history–P20 million–and one of the 13,000 (approximation) who auditioned yesterday is taking home that money, we just don’t know who it is for now.

This is really tough for the selection panel led by Ms. Wilma Galvante who scoured thousands of showbiz aspirants aged 16-22, all vying for the grand prize and the glamorous artista life.

Aimed at giving everyone a taste of what it’s like to be an artista, the event featured various booths including Makeover Booth, a Red Carpet Photo Booth (wherein pictures will instantly appear as magazine cover photos and uploaded to Artista Academy’s Twitter and Facebook pages), a VTR/Acting Booth with on-site editing where participants act out scenes from teleseryes and commercials, plus lots of freebies and an electronic raffle with special prizes.

There was also a special on-ground show featuring Martin Escudero, Empoy, Morisette Amon, Shy Carlos, Aki Torio, Joshua Davis (a.k.a. Yoyo Tricker), Melbeline, Daniel Matsunaga, Eula Caballero and Ritz Azul.

The Artista Academy will also grant contestants full scholarships to the Asian Academy of Television Arts (AATA) where they will undergo the most intensive training with the best professionals in the industry.

TV5 calls on young showbiz aspirants aged 16-21 to come to the grand one-day auditions for ARTISTA ACADEMY, which will be held this June 19 at the SMART Araneta Coliseum. Artista Academy offers a whopping 10 million peso grand prize and, of course, the promise of the glamorous artista life.

Interested applicants are required to bring their birth certificate, valid ID and best glam picture to the grand auditions on June 19.
