UFC Fighter Mark Muñoz Returns to Manila!

Balls channel brings UFC middleweight star and top contender Mark “The Filipino Wrecking Machine” Muñoz to the Philippines for a weekend of wresting clinics, public training sessions, and guestings on ABS-CBN shows beginning March 8 (Friday).

Munoz will visit his native roots for the second time in a year and bond with his Filipino fans in a series of wrestling clinics at select universities and fitness venues. Also get to know the “Filipino Wrecking Machine” more as he talks about his craft on ABS-CBN programs “Bandila” and “It’s Showtime”.

Munoz has been featured on a three-part special shown on ABS-CBN Channel 2 titled “UFC sa ABS-CBN: Mark Muñoz, The Ultimate Pinoy Fighter” which delved into the life of the Filipino-American mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter and his journey to become the number 1 contender for the UFC Middleweight belt.

Meanwhile, fans can watch “The Filipino Wrecking Machine” offer a sneak-peek at his training regimen at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall on March 10 (Sunday) beginning 3:00 p.m. Fans will also get the chance to meet Mark, have their photos taken, and win premium Team Munoz merchandise signed by the renowned Pinoy UFC fighter.

Ultimate Fighting Championship’s Mark Muñoz is set to meet his Filipino fans for an afternoon of training and a meet and greet session at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall on August 12, Sunday, starting 4:00 p.m.

Fans will be given the chance to meet and chat with Mark as well as have their photos taken and items signed by the “Filipino Wrecking Machine”. Mark “The Filipino Wrecking Machine” Muñoz returns inside the octagon after suffering an elbow injury to face Chris “The All-American” Weidman on UFC on Fuel TV 4 live via satellite, Thursday, on Balls.

This is Muñoz first fight since he picked up a fourth consecutive victory in a bout against Chris Leben.He was scheduled to fight Chael Sonnen but the severity of his injury forced him out of his bout. Now, the Filipino Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighter is back in action, determined to be the ultimate contender for the UFC middleweight title.

Muñoz, one of the best fighters on the ground will give his best to take Weidman down. His specialty, ground-and-pound is one of the best in the division.

But Weidman won’t be grappled down easily. The undefeated “All-American” will try to make excellent use of his reach advantage. He will use his jabs which will enable him to be outside the range ofMuñoz’s takedowns.

Balls Channel brings UFC 148: Silva vs. Sonnen live via satellite!

Not long after the booming fistfight of Wanderlei Silva and Rich Franklin, UFC 148: Silva vs. Sonnen will be staged by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). The fight will take place on July 7, 2012 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada.

 

The bout was originally scheduled for UFC 147 but due to a scheduling conflict, it was moved to UFC 148. Chael Sonnen, who is currently holds the number two rank middleweight in the MMA website Sherdog, challenged the number one pound-per-pound fighter and current middleweight champion,Anderson Silva.

In UFC 148, Silva and Sonnen will face for the second time. They first fought each other in UFC 117 in 2010. Silva seemed to lose during the first four rounds of the previous fight until he used a “triangle choke/armbar” on the 5th round, making Sonnen submit to his powerful foe.

This time, Sonnen is determined to finally snatch the title and outrank his opponent. But the powerfulSilva will give everything he’s got to retain his belt.

UFC 148 : Silva vs. Sonnen will be aired live via satellite on July 8, 2012 (Sunday) at 10:30 a.m. only on Balls.
