Well-respected Filipino TV and film critic Nestor Torre’s first impression of a relatively low-key ABS-CBN daytime teleserye with no superstars was portentous of great things to come.

He wrote back on July 13, 2012 in Inquirer.net:

“MANY new teleseryes start out with a big bang, then quickly deteriorate into predictability and confusion, as their initial focus and impetus are compromised by contrary inputs and afterthoughts. It’s still early days, but we trust that “Be Careful with My Heart” will be able to resist and avoid that standard tailspin, because its first telecast last July 9 was a bright and breezy treat.”

Less than a year later, the daytime show with previously no big names is now a TV household phenomenon that garnered consistently high national ratings, beat much publicized primetime shows, won several TV awards including a finalist slot in the telenovela category of the prestigious 2013 New York Festivals (NYF)
World’s Best Television and Film, and gained millions of viewers all over the world who follow every episode on The Filipino Channel (TFC).

After drawing thousands of fans to their live city and provincial shows in the Philippines and scoring recently a Gold Record Award in sales for its official soundtrack album, the versatile team behind “Be Careful with My Heart” has embarked on its first ever World Tour which will take them to the U.S. for concerts on May 10 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California and at the Silver Spurs Arena in Kissimmee, Florida on May 12.

Richard Yap and Jodi Sta. Maria World Tour kicks-off in Abu Dhabi, U.S. and Canada Dates and Venue revealed!

ABS-CBN’s hit kilig-serye “Be Careful With My Heart” is set to begin its highly anticipated world tour on Thursday (March 28) as Maya (Jodi Sta. Maria), Sir Chief (Richard Yap) and their respective families in the show fly to the Middle East for the first leg of the event. In partnership with The Filipino Channel (TFC), the world tour kick-off will happen on March 28 at Abu Dhabi, Du Forum, Yas Island from 9pm to 10:30pm.

While on March 29 (Friday), Maya and Sir Chief will give total entertainment to their supporters who will join them in Dubai, Indian High School, Oud Metha Dubai from 8pm to 9:30pm. TFC subscribers who are interested to take part in the “Be Careful With My Heart” world tour in Middle East may simply contact 0506708699 or 0529089789.

After their Middle East tour, Maya and Sir Chief will continue on spreading the good vibes from the Philippines to the United States and Canada. They will have special shows in Los Angeles on May 10 (Friday) and in Florida on May 12 (Sunday). The hit tandem and the other cast members of the show will also join the “One Kapamilya Go!” event in Canada on May 19 (Sunday), which will be held at Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Toronto.

The magic of Maya and Sir Chief’s first kiss draws ratings!

The magic of Maya (Jodi Sta. Maria) and Sir Chief (Richard Yap) has struck the entire nation again as “Be Careful With My Heart” recently did not only dominate the ratings game but ruled the trending topics list of the popular microblogging site Twitter

Based on the latest data from Kantar Media last Tuesday (March 12), ABS-CBN’s no.1 kilig-serye garnered 26.4% national TV ratings or 13 points higher than the 13.4% of its rival program in GMA “Eat Bulaga.”

The hashtag #SerChiefandMayaNationalKissDay became a trending topic nationwide for several hours. Netizens raved about Sir Chief’s surprise goodbye kiss to Maya that left the former nanny stunned. The kiss happened after the two attended the Junior-Senior Prom Night of Luke (Jerome Ponce) and Nikki (Janella Salvador).

Meanwhile, the whole cast of “Be Careful With My Heart,” led by Jodi and Richard, recently received the loudest cheer from the audiences in both 11th Gawad Tanglaw and 9th USTv Students Choice Awards.

The entire cast of the country’s no.1 daytime TV program attended both awards night to personally thank the student communities for the Best Ensemble Performance and Best TV series from Gawad Tanglaw and the Best Daily Local Soap Opera and Best Ensemble Performance awards given by USTv.
