Below are some highlights from the interview:

Brad says he’s happier than ever.

“I have very few friends. I have a handful of close friends and I have my family and I haven’t known life to be any happier. I’m making things. I just haven’t known life to be any happier.”

Brad gushes about his six children;  Maddox, 11, Pax, nine, Zahara, eight, Shiloh, six, and four-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne:

“I always thought that if I wanted to do a family, I wanted to do it big. I wanted there to be chaos in the house… there’s constant chatter in our house, whether it’s giggling or screaming or crying or banging. I love it. I love it. I love it. I hate it when they’re gone. I hate it. Maybe it’s nice to be in a hotel room for a day – “Oh, nice, I can finally read a paper.” But then, by the next day, I miss that cacophony, all that life.”

At 49, he knows what he wants. But it wasn’t always like that:

“I’d get so far and then want to do something else.  I mean, I’m two credits short of graduating college . Two credits. All I had to do was write a paper. What kind of guy is that? That guy scares me – the guy who always leaves a little on his plate.”

Brad believes his past recreational drug use did some “damage”:

“For a long time I thought I did too much damage – drug damage.  I was a bit of a drifter. A guy who felt he grew up in something of a vacuum and wanted to see things, wanted to be inspired. I followed that other thing. I spent years f***ing off. But then I got burnt out and felt that I was wasting my opportunity. It was a conscious change. This was about a decade ago. It was an epiphany – a decision not to squander my opportunities. It was a feeling of get up. Because otherwise, what’s the point?”

What Brad and Angie did after her surgeries:

“We set up our own little post-op recovery that became pretty fun. You make an adventure out of it. I’m quite emotional about it, of course. She could have stayed absolutely private about it and I don’t think anyone would have been none the wiser with such good results. But it was really important to her to share the story and that others would understand it doesn’t have to be a scary thing. In fact, it can be an empowering thing, and something that makes you stronger and us stronger.”

Wow, how did she do that, these pictures were taken AFTER giving birth to her son. Esquire named the piece “Megan Fox Saves Herself”.

Below are some highlights from the interview:

Megan on fame: “I don’t think people understand,” she says. “They all think we should shut the f–k up and stop complaining because you live in a big house or you drive a Bentley. So your life must be so great. What people don’t realize is that fame, whatever your worst experience in high school, when you were being bullied by those ten kids in high school, fame is that, but on a global scale, where you’re being bullied by millions of people constantly.”

Megan on the Bible: “I’ve read the Book of Revelation a million times,” Megan Fox says. “It does not make sense, obviously. It needs to be decoded. What is the dragon? What is the prostitute? What are these things? What is this imagery? What was John seeing? And I was just thinking, What is the Antichrist? When war breaks out in the Holy Land, like it is right now, if that is a sign of the immediate end times, then where are the other signs? Is it possible that it’s the Internet or fame itself or celebrity?”

On giving birth: For the birth, she had no doula, no midwife. She left the hospital in just over twenty-four hours.

On her bombshell image: “I felt powerless in that image,” she says. “I didn’t feel powerful. It ate every other part of my personality, not for me but for how people saw me, because there was nothing else to see or know. That devalued me. Because I wasn’t anything. I was an image. I was a picture. I was a pose.”

Removing her Marilyn Monroe tattoo: “I feel like I willed it be gone,” Fox says. “They told me it was going to take six sessions and it’s nearly gone in one. I started reading about her and realized that her life was incredibly difficult. It’s like when you visualize something for your future. I didn’t want to visualize something so negative. She wasn’t powerful at the time. She was sort of like Lindsay. She was an actress who wasn’t reliable, who almost wasn’t insurable…. She had all the potential in the world, and it was squandered. I’m not interested in following in those footsteps.”

Will she remove any other tattoos?: A quote on her rib cage reads: “There once was a little girl who never knew love until a boy broke her heart.” She thinks it’s stupid now. And she isn’t entirely sure about the line from Nietzsche either: “And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.”

Who she admires now: “Ava Gardner. She had power. She was a broad. She got what she wanted and said what she needed.”

On growing up in a Pentecostal church in Tennessee: “The energy is so intense in the room,” she says, “that you feel like anything can happen. They’re going to hate that I compare it to this, but have you ever watched footage of a Santeria gathering or someone doing voodoo? You know how palpable the energy is? Whatever’s going on there, it’s for real. I have seen magical, crazy things happen. I’ve seen people be healed. Even now, in the church I go to, during Praise and Worship I could feel that I was maybe getting ready to speak in tongues, and I’d have to shut it off because I don’t know what that church would do if I started screaming out in tongues in the back. It feels like a lot of energy coming through the top of your head — I’m going to sound like such a lunatic — and then your whole body is filled with this electric current. And you just start speaking, but you’re not thinking because you have no idea what you’re saying. Words are coming out of your mouth, and you can’t control it. The idea is that it’s a language that only God understands. It’s the language that’s spoken in heaven. It’s called ‘getting the Holy Ghost.’ ”

She’s not into drugs or drinking: “I can’t stand pills. I don’t like drinking. I don’t like feeling out of control,” she explains. “I have to feel like I’m in control of my body. And I know what you’re thinking, Then why would I want to go to church and speak in tongues? You have to understand, there I feel safe. I was raised to believe that you’re safe in God’s hands. But I don’t feel safe with myself.”

She believes in aliens and leprechauns: “I believe in all of this stuff. I believe in all of it…. I like believing. I believe in all of these Irish myths, like leprechauns. Not the pot of gold, not the Lucky Charms leprechauns. But maybe was there something in the traditional sense? I believe that this stuff came from somewhere other than people’s imaginations…. We should all believe in leprechauns. I’m a believer….”

Esquire has named Mila Kunis the Sexiest Woman Alive for 2012!

This is what Kunis told the magazine:

“I think that if I bought into the hype, I would lose all sight of who I am, and so much of who I am is what my parents went through and instilled in me. And I never want to lose that. Ever. Because I would be so disappointed if I didn’t make them proud.”

Daniel Craig is on the cover of Esquire UK!

Skyfall actor Daniel Craig is on the cover of Esquire Magazine UK for October 2012 issue!

Below are some highlights from the interview:

On the 007 series: “I think what’s always fantastic about the Bond stories is that there’s always a darkness involved, but it’s a darkness with a sense of humor. A black humor. It’s about danger, but a good danger, because you’re in the hands of somebody who’s saying ‘F–k you’ to risk, ‘F–k you’ to dying.”

On the pressure of playing James Bond: “Bond movies live or die on their popularity. They force you to care about what people think. And I’m involved [in the films] on a very deep level. I have it in my mind all the time… So there’s that kind of pressure, and that’s an enemy in any art form, acting especially.”

On Skyfall director Sam Mendes: “It’s a very showbizzy story. I was at Hugh Jackman’s house in New York. It was a soiree – we were in a play together – and Sam was there. I’d had a few too many drinks and I went, ‘How do you fancy directing a Bond?’ And he kind of looked at me, and he went, ‘Yeah!’ And it snowballed from there.”

Robert Downey, Jr. is on the cover of Esquire!

Robert Downey Jr. is on the cover of Esquire Magazine‘s May 2012 issue!

On this issue he laked about addiction, fatherhood, and heroism.

Below are some highlights from the interview:

On his new son:
“Three weeks ago, we had a bun in the oven, and we were about to have a kid. There was all this trepidation, all this projection, all this anticipation and goodwill and a good vibe about it. But what you’re squeezing to the side — or what’s in the glove box — is these thousands of forms of fear. And then he was born and they’ve all just kind of scattered now. It seems like he’s always been here.”

On being a father:
“I guess here’s what’s come to me in the last three weeks: That anticipation and fear are going to come back. Am I going to know what to do with them? Does any new parent, even if you’re not a first-time parent, ever really know what to do? Only thing you have to do, the only requirement, if you can hack it, is to not transfer your own discomfort in the moment to this fresh soul, right? … You got to be mindful. I don’t want to be so confident in myself. It’s that balance between being relaxed enough to not be communicating anxiety and present enough to not be creating the very thing that you were anxious about by being so relaxed — because I’ve seen that parenting style, too.”

On being a hero:
“Do I want to be a hero to my son? No. I would like to be a very real human being. That’s hard enough. Every dad casts a shadow, you know? And that shadow is you’re disappointed, you’re resentful, or you feel so supported and loved you don’t understand why life is so hard anyway — or, you know, it’s so long and so dark that you can never step out of it, so you might as well not even try. Right? So. So hero to me is not applicable to the human experience.

I think that we all do heroic things, but hero is not a noun, it’s a verb.”

On addiction:
“A link between addiction and creativity? Horses**t. No, I never told myself that lie.

I’m not saying that the correctly timed intervention here and there is blah blah blah — look, it’s valiant to go waste days, weeks, months, and years trying to fish someone you care about out of their own abyss. But if your intuition asks, Is this a big O.K. Corral ego trip on the part of the people who are going to say, ‘All right, we’re going to go in and handle this’? Because you’re not. You’re not going to handle s**t. No amount of effort is going to nudge somebody out of a situation that they deem is hopeless. And people sense when there’s an ego trip involved, when there’s a ‘I’m here to save your life!’ It’s horses**t. It’s horses**t. I hate it. That’s recovery vulturism.”
