A very reliable source said that the real reason of the Kris Aquino-James Yap break-up this time was the widening gap between the two which starts with a small favor that James asked Kris.

The favor that James asked his wife Kris was to help his sister get a US visa, his sister is a nurse and stayed with them while still studying. This said sister is very close to James. But Kris misinterpreted the favor asked by James as she answered back that she does not want to extend her connection just to get his sister a Visa, that is when James felt betrayed.

Then, during the campaign period James asked the permission of Kris to visit a relative in Negros, but Kris got angry since the relative does not support his brother at all. And Kris then refused to let James go and visit the said relative.
