Jericho Rosales is Jesse Robredo on ‘MMK’ this Saturday!

ABS-CBN’s longest-running drama anthology will present the inspiring and empowering life story of the late Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) secretary Jesse Robredo this Saturday (March 23).

Award-winning actor Jericho Rosales will play as Sec. Robredo, while Kapamilya actress Kaye Abad will act as Robredo’s wife Leni. How was Sec. Robredo’s simple lifestyle and strong leadership molded by his family and his experiences? How huge was the part of his wife and her three daughters in his success?

Aside from Jericho and Kaye, also part of the Jesse Robredo Story in “MMK” are Yogo Singh, Spanky Manikan, Cara Eriguel, Christian Tan, Alyanna Angeles, Nikki Bagaporo, Trina Legaspi, and Richard Quan. The episode was researched by Alexandra Mae Martin, written by Joan Habana and Arah Jell Badayos, and directed by Raz de la Torre.

Jesse Robredo’s remain brought back home!

The remains of DILG Secretary Jesse Robredo arrived in Naga airport a little past 12:40 p.m. today, August 21 aboard a C130 plane.
No less than President Benigno Aquino III personally brought the remains of the Secretary Jesse Robredo to his family in Naga. His family will wait at the Archbishops palace in Naga City where  the public viewing will start this evening.
Other details as to where his remains will be brought is still being planned. But one thing is for sure it will be flown in Manila which is still being arranged right now.
Updates will be posted soon.  Robredo’s family are asking the media and the public for  some space and some time to be alone with the secretary.

DILG Sec. Jesse Robredo body found!

Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse Robredo‘s body has been found after it crashed 150 meters away from Masbate airport around 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

Divers found the plane’s fuselage around 7:30 a.m. Robredo’s body was found inside the fuselage at 7:45 a.m. His body was brought to shore at 8:40 a.m.

Robredo, 54, is survived by his wife, Atty. Maria Leonor Gerona-Robredo, and his three children, Aika, Patricia and Jillian Therese.

Search and Rescue operation for missing DILG Sec. Jesse Robredo still on!

The search and rescue operation for missing DILG Secretary Jesse Robredo, who went missing along with two others after their plane crashed off Masbate bay is still on.

The two others who were missing are pilot Capt. Jessup Bahinting, and Nepalese co-pilot Kshitiz Chand. The 4 were on board a five-seater Piper Seneca aircraft when it crashed at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Senior Inspector Jun Abrasado, who survived the plane crash yesterday is recuperating well in at the Masbate Provincial Hospital with just a few injuries none visibly serious, both arms in slings but no blood, no bandages.

President Noynoy Aquino flew in Masbate yesterday, as the search and rescue operation is still underway.
