Kean Cipriano topbills MMK this Saturday!

For the first time, rock band frontman Kean Cipriano will star in “Maalaala Mo Kaya” this Saturday (November 17), wherein he will portray the role of John, the loving boyfriend of Lyn (Yen Santos), a conservative lady who based her life decisions on different kinds of sayings that she learned from her mother, aunt and grandmother.

 

Lyn connects everything that happens to her to the old beliefs, from the right time to be in a relationship up to the reasons why she is suffering. In the end, which will matter more–Lyn’s long list of sayings or real feelings that she and John have for each other?

Together with Kean and Yen in their “MMK” episode are Sylvia Sanchez, Ricardo Cepeda, Sharlene San Pedro, Nikki Bagaporo, Cris Villongco, Helga Krapf, Patrick Sugui, Timothy Chan, and Aria Clemente. It was researched by Agatha Ruadap, written by Benson Logronio, and directed by Dado Lumibao.

‘The Reunion’ movie trailer and poster revealed!

Star Cinema released THE REUNION Full Trailer! Featuring four of the most promising actors of their generation - Xian Lim, Enrique Gil, Kean Cipriano and Enchong Dee, “The Reunion” is about a group of friends who are looking for the true meaning of love and happiness. The said flick is inspired by the songs of the hit 90′s Pinoy rock band Eraserheads titled “The Reunion”.

Also in the cast are Cristine Reyes, Megan Young andJulia Montes.

The Reunion follows the journey of Lloyd (Enchong), Bogs (Enrique), Pat (Kean) and Joax (Xian) after their life in high school and now struggling in their everyday lives. From being popular in the campus their lives changes and leads them to the things they never imagined to happen. Wanting to make it right, Lloyd, Bogs, Pat, and Joax trace back to their lives searching where things went wrong in order to change their future. Going back to memory lane brings back all the fun they had in their high school lives including first love and heartaches. With all this will they finally make things right?

Directed by Frasco Mortiz, the movie which will open in theaters nationwide on August 15, also stars Alodia Gosengfiao, Tom Rodriguez, Matt Evans, Bangs Garcia, Joseph Marco and Ms. Gina Pareño.

“Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank” goes mainstream starting Aug.3!

“Ang Babae sa Septic Tank” was one of the most watched film of the just concluded 7th Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival and Competition. Star Cinema is releasing it (starting today, Aug. 3, in over 40 theaters nationwide).

“Ang Babae sa Septic Tank” is a parody that pokes fun over independent filmmaking, and which romanticizes the reality of poverty.

Eugene Domingo displays her versatility as an actress – it is another testimony to her onscreen comedic power.

The movie, which is said to be the biggest blockbuster in the history of sold-out screenings of Cinemalaya, also won four other awards: Best Director Marlon Rivera, Best Screenplay for Chris Martinez (who directed Star Cinema’s “Here Comes the Bride” and was scriptwriter of “Kimmy Dora”), Audience Choice Award and the most coveted Best Film Award.

“Ang Babae sa Septic Tank” also stars Cai Cortez (“My Amnesia Girl,” “Maximus and Minimus”), JM de Guzman (“Mula sa Puso” and “My Amnesia Girl”), and Kean Cipriano (Calalilly’s lead vocalist).

No magic secret is safe on TV5's Magic Gimik! with Kean and Empoy!

Based on the all-time hit and historic U.S. top-rating reality series Breaking the Magician’s Code: Magic’s Biggest Secrets Finally Revealed, Magic Gimik! lets all marvelous magical feats exposed. The deepest and darkest trade secrets of magic tricks are shattered starting this Wednesday, October 13, 8 pm on TV5‘s Primetimes5.

Each episode promises no less than the most revealing truth about trickers’ age-old illusion practices. Every Wednesday night, Magic Trick! offers the viewers everything our bare eyes could hardly see—how an object or a human body is lifted from the surface, how a magician escapes a death-defying stunt, how magicians carry out card tricks, and more.

Join the quirky tandem of Kean Cipriano and Empoy Marquez as they detail the mystery behind the magic tricks that have eluded the public for years now.

Comedy capital ng Pilipinas may panibagong laugh trip na Hapi Together!

Magpapalabas ng panibagong laugh trip ang TV5— ang tunay na comedy capital ng bansa. Magbibida sa Hapi Together ang pinakamakulit na mag-bespren sa TV, ang machong aktor na si John Estrada at ang side-kick na si Long Mejia, para sa mas happy at mas nakakatawang batuhan ng mga linya simula ngayong Martes (Setyembre 7), 8-9 pm sa Primetimes5 ng TV5.

Pinagsama-sama ang ilan sa mga pinakaseryoso pagdating sa pagtatawa sa telebisyon—mula noon hanggang ngayon—sa Hapi Together. Mula sa direksyon ng sitcom master na si Direk Al Tantay at panulat ng premyadong scriptwriter-direktor na si Joey Reyes, ihahandog ng palabas ang mga pinakamahuhusay na komedyante na pinagbibidahan nina John Estrada at Long Mejia. Pinakita ng dalawa na swak na swak ang chemistry at timing nila sa comedy sa dating sitcom na Everybody Hapi!, ang palabas na naging hudyat ng pagbabalik ng sitcom sa bansa at tumagal ng halos dalawang taon.

Siguradong kaaaliwan ng mga manonood linggo-linggo ang Hapi Together dahil sa mga major, major nakakatawang karakter ng palabas, kabilang na ang mga comic veterans na sina Leo Martinez, Soxie Topacio at Ms Nova Villa. Kasama pang makikigulo ang mga bombshell na sina Keanna Reeves, Princess Ryan at Carla Humphries, ang Fil-Brit hunk na si Jon Avila at Calla Lily vocalist na si Kean Cipriano.


Seaman ang matalik na magkaibigan na sina Geronimo aka Nimo (John Estrada) at Ismael aka Mael (Long Mejia). Bagamat lapitin ng mga babae, nananatili sa daang matuwid si Nimo; malayong-malayo sa malokong pamumuhay ng mayabang na si Mael. Habang nag-aayos ng papeles para makaakyat uli ng barko, nangupahan ang dalawa sa mansyon ng mga Cayugyog sa Maligamgam Street, na pagmamay-ari ng mag-asawang Chavit (Soxie Topacio) at Genevieve (Keanna Reeves).
Nasisid ng best buddy ang hidwaan ng magkapatid na sina Chavit at Atong (Leo Martinez), isang talyer owner na naninirahan sa iskwater kasama ang atribidang asawang si Nympha (Nova Villa) at rebeldeng anak na si Hillary (Carla Humphries). Bubukol ang sanga-sangang katatawanan sa gulo-gulong buhay ng mga Cayugyog. Sasamahan naman ni Bono (Kean Cipriano) ang kapatid na si Mael para mag-aral ng Culinary Arts sa Maynila. Si Winston (Jon Avila) naman ay isang misteryosong boarder sa mansyon ng mga Cayugyog na magdadagdag ng interes sa palabas.
Samahan ang rambol na buhay nina Nimo at Mael at ng mga magkakaaway na Cayugyog sa Hapi Together, simula ngayong Martes, 8-9 pm sa TV5.
