Queen of All Media Kris Aquino is set to lead the group of ABS-CBN stars who will travel to Baguio City this weekend for the much awaited Panagbenga Floral Float Parade on Sunday (February 24) at 7AM.

ABS-CBN Regional Network Group (RNG) will take part in the grand annual parade through its floral float that will carry on board Kris together with her “Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw” co-stars Xyriel Manabat, Marco Gumabao, Miles Ocampo, Karla Estrada, and Smokey Manoloto; and her “Kris TV”co-hosts Jason Francisco and Melai Cantiveros.

“Himig Handog P-Pop Love Songs” finals night on Feb 24, biggest OPM concert of 2013!

The best Filipino artists will converge at the biggest OPM concert of 2013 via ABS-CBN’s “Himig Handog P-Pop Love Songs” finals night on February 24 (Sunday) at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Twelve of the country’s finest performers will be interpreting the 12 new songs in this grand musical showcase. The Kapamilya artists who will be performing live are Yeng Constantino for the song “Alaala”, Aiza Seguerra for “Anong Nangyari Sa Ating Dalawa”, Toni Gonzaga for “Kahit Na”, Daniel Padilla for “Nasa Iyo Na Ang Lahat”, Angeline Quinto for “One Day”, Bugoy Drilon for “Puwede Bang Ako Na Lang Ulit”, Jovit Baldivino for “Sana’y Magbalik”, KZ Tandingan for “Scared To Death”,  Erik Santos for “This Song Is For You”, and Juris Fernandez for “Hanggang Wakas”. Two young songwriter-finalists will be the interpreters of their own compositions– Marion Aunor will sing her song “If You Ever Change Your Mind” and Wynn Andrada will perform his creation, “Tamang Panahon.”

Kim Chiu on Xian Lim’s Valentine date on a yacht: “Hindi ko pa nararanasan ‘yong ganun, may surprise-surprise.”!

Kim Chiu, her family and close friends were in Subic last week when she received a surprise call on Valentine’s Day! from Xian Lim asking her to pass by Subic Yacht Club because he has a photo shoot and they are in the vicinity. That was on Valentine’s Day!

And since they are nearby, she gave in and wanted to stay there just for a short while since they wanted to ride a horse with friends. So she tagged along her older sister and a friend. And she got a big surprise when she arrives.

This is what Kim narrated:

“Then, noong pagpunta, may pa-yacht si Kuya! Nagulat naman kami! Kasama ko ‘yong pamangkin ko, ‘yong ate ko, at saka isang kaibigan ko. Ayun, nag-ikot kami for three hours at may pa-design naman siya sa yate.”

She never expected any of it from Xian:

“Siya ang taong full of surprises! Nakakatuwa, kasi panibagong experience for me.”

She said in finality:

“Hindi ko pa nararanasan ‘yong ganun, may surprise-surprise.”

‘Gabi ng Pagpapakilala’ episode breaches 40% nationwide TV ratings!

ABS-CBN’s primetime family drama series “Ina Kapatid Anak” recently reached its milestone all-time high rating, as its ‘Gabi ng Pagpapakilala‘ episode aired last Friday (February 15) breached the 40% national TV ratings mark.

Based on the data from Kantar Media, the highly anticipated night, which featured the grand debut celebration of Celyn (Kim Chiu) and Margaux (Maja Salvador), earned 40.1% national TV ratings, or more than 20 points higher that its two rival teleseryes in GMA, namely “Indio” which only got 17.4% and “Pahiram ng Sandali” that only registered 16.1% national TV ratings.

In the ‘Gabi ng Pagpapakilala’ episode, TV viewers across the country were glued to their small screens as they did not only witness the formal introduction of Celyn as a member of the Marasigan family but also the fiery confrontational scenes between Celyn and Margaux.

Now that everybody knows about the real identity of Celyn, will Margaux still find ways to get rid of her sister? What will the mysterious character of Diego (Alex Medina) do that will change the lives of Celyn, Margaux, and the people around them?

“Ina Kapatid Anak” Book 2 hits all-time high ratings!

ABS-CBN’s top caliber family drama series “Ina Kapatid Anak” successfully opened its book 2 on Monday (January 14) after its much-awaited grand reveal episode tagged as ‘Gabi ng Katotohanan’ hit the show’s all-time high national TV ratings and conquered the top-trending topics on Twitter Philippines and worldwide.

Based on the data from Kantar Media, the beginning of book 2 that exposed the truth about the real identity of Kim Chiu’s character Celyn garnered a national TV rating of 36.3%, or almost 14 points higher than the pilot episode of its newest rival program in GMA “Indio,” which only got 22.7%. Also, the ratings earned by “Ina Kapatid Anak” was almost double of another GMA primetime teleserye “Temptation of Wife” that only obtained 19% national TV ratings.

Aside from ruling the ratings game as the no.1 primetime TV series nationwide, “Ina Kapatid Anak” also dominated the popular microblogging site Twitter with the episode’s non-stop revelations and confrontations, especially among the characters of its lead stars Kim, Maja Salvador, Janice de Belen, Ariel Rivera and Cherry Pie Picache. With the netizens’ overflowing emotions, the title of the teleserye became a national trending topic, while ‘Cherry Pie’ made it on the top trending topics worldwide, with the seasoned actress’ outstanding dramatic performance as Teresa, the mother of Celyn.
