Roger Federer beats Andy Murray at the Men’s Singles final under a closed roof on Center Court on Sunday, July 8, with 4-6, 7-5, 6-3, 6-4.
Federer made a new record tying his seventh Wimbledon win that of Pete Sampras.
Fans turned out in spades for Andy Murray, hoping that he could become the first home-grown Wimbledon champion in 76-years. The last British competitor to win at Wimbledon was Fred Perry in 1936.
The final was also a first Wimbledon singles final to be played under the stadiums closed roof which was added to the All England Club in 2009.
Congratulations to Roger Federer, we will surely see him in 2013 to hopefully break another record again!
