Toni Gozaga is now being compared to KC Concepcion, now that she is hosting “The Voice of the Philippines“!
As we all know, KC also hosted the “X Factor Philippines“, which is also a singing competition, thus many wasted no time drawing comparison.
This is what Toni has to say:
“Magkaiba naman. Magkaiba naman, although parehong reality-singing competition. Magkaiba kami ni KC sa paghu-host. Kaya hindi mo kami puwedeng ikumpara.”
On their hosting styles:
“Iba yung istilo ni KC, iba yung istilo ko. Pareho lang kaming hosts. Hindi maganda yun. Wag na tayong mag-compare. May kanya-kanya naman tayong strength, abilities, skills, and talents.”
Ultimate Multimedia Star Toni Gonzaga is officially the host of The Voice of the Philippines, the country’s edition of the worldwide hit singing competition The Voice, after ABS-CBN made its big announcement last Sunday (Feb 3) on The Buzz.
“It’s a singing competition with a different concept. We will showcase the best singers in the Philippines like you’ve never seen them before,” Toni shared to give viewers a glimpse on what to expect on her new show.
One of the most sought after and most bankable hosts in the country today, Toni became the face of reality shows Pinoy Big Brother and Pinoy Dream Academy and among the hosts of noontime show Happy Yipee Yehey, and showbiz talk shows Entertainment Live and The Buzz. Apart from that, she is also a versatile television and movie actress, certified recording star, sold-out concert performer, covergirl, and credible product endorser.
Toni will be the Pinoy counterpart of Carson Daly who hosts the more popularly known US edition of The Voice with Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green, and Blake Shelton as celebrity coaches.
The Voice is a unique singing competition where auditions are based solely on vocal ability. In the first stage called the “blind auditions,” all four coaches must listen to the artist without facing him or her and must press their respective buttons if they want the artist to be part of the team they will mentor. Hitting the button will also trigger the coach’s chairs to swivel so that the coach can finally see the face behind the voice.
The coaches get to choose the contestants to form their respective teams. They will then dedicate themselves to develop their singers via mentoring and will pit two of their own team members in the second round called the “battle rounds.”
After the vocal face-off, the coach must then choose who among the singers will advance. Those who will survive in the battle rounds will proceed to the third stage— the live performance shows— wherein viewers can save them from elimination by voting.
In the end, each coach will have one star artist left to compete against the other team’s finalists and the last one standing will be named “The Voice of the Philippines.”
Unlike other ABS-CBN-produced talent shows such as Pilipinas Got Talent and The X Factor Philippines, contestants of “The Voice of the Philippines” can make it through the different rounds mostly because of their vocal ability.

“This Guy’s in Love with U Mare” Starring Vice Ganda, Luis Manzano and Toni Gonzaga is poised to be this year’s biggest movie to date.
According to the latest box office data from the website Box Office Mojo, the Star Cinema release grossed an estimated P123,491,673 in its first five days in Philippine theaters.

Rumor has it that Lea Salonga will be hosting the Philippine Edition of The Voice is not true!
The rumor was even written in a print by a big named newspaper. Other celebrities rumored to host the show are Robi Domingo and Toni Gonzaga. They even named Zsa Zsa Padilla as one of the judges.
But according to the business unit behind “The Voice” Philippines, there is still no final set of judges, and negotiations are still ongoing.

The super box-office tandem of director Wenn Deramas and comedian Vice Ganda returns in the new comedy flick “This Guy’s In Love with You Pare.” Joining them are Toni Gonzaga and Luis Manzano.
Star Cinema and Viva Films, the two companies that brought us the highest-grossing Pinoy movie in history—”The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin”—have joined forces once again for a new comedy that they hope will break another record at the box office.
The movie that stars Toni Gonzaga and Vice Ganda has already started shooting!
And Toni has just revealed that Vice is going to be her leading man in the movie. Sound interesting, Vice will act as a man in the movie?
This is whay Toni said:
“’Yong movie namin ni Vice Ganda, finally natuloy na. Sa ngayon, wala pang working title. Pero naka-two shooting days na kaming dalawa. So ang saya!”
“It’s under Star Cinema, oo. ‘Tapos si Wenn Deramas ang director namin.”
On her leading man in the movie:
“Si Vice ang leading man ko! Kung paano ko siya naging leading man… secret! Basta ang saya-saya no’ng pelikula. And yes, first time namin ni Vice to work together.”
The big question is, will the two have a kissing scene in the movie?

Star Cinema’s up-coming unconventional love triangle movie which stars Toni Gonzaga, Luis Manzano and Vice Ganda!
I am already smelling another blockbuster movie in the making, I wonder how they will pull the story out for this movie to be directed by Wenn Deramas.
In the story conference held just recently the stars are doubly excited to start filming and they are vocal about it.
This is what Toni said:
“Sobrang saya. Ito siguro ang pinakamasayang pelikulang magagawa ko sa buhay ko kasi imaginine mo si Vice, Luis, Direk Wenn (Deramas). Ang saya. Nai-imagine ko pa lang ang mga shooting days, mga eksena, parang ang saya talaga. Ito ang isa sa proyekto na ilu-look forward mong pumasok at pumunta sa set dahil alam mong maganda ang materyal, alam mong masarap katrabaho ang mga kasama mo at ‘yung direktor napakahusay at pinagkakatiwalaan naming tatlo so masaya.”
Luis on the story plot of the movie:
“Kumbaga sa Facebook, it’s very complicated ang love triangle. Hindi normal ang love triangle talagang magkakasalubong ang landas namin pagdating sa pagmamahalan.”
And here’s what Vice Ganda said:
“Kahit hindi pa kami nagsisimula mag-shoot masaya na kami agad. Maganda ang vibes. Magaan lang. Excited ako kasi ang tagal ko na ulit gusto makasama si [Toni] ng maya’t maya. Parang bonding na rin,”
